When is Road to the Horse 2025?
Road to the Horse 2025 will take place on March 27-30 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The World Championship of Colt Starting competitors will compete for their share of over $125,000 in cash and prizes. Tickets are now on sale to the public. Will Thursday be Ticketed or free to the public?
Thursday, March 27 at Road to the Horse 2024 will be ticketed.
What days will the World Championship Competition be?
The World Championship of Colt Starting competition will begin on Friday, March 28 and conclude on Sunday, March 30. The main championship event commences in the mornings and is complete by 5:00 pm. Sunday activities conclude at approximately 4:00 pm.
Are VIP Tickets Available?

Is there a fee to park at the Kentucky Horse Park?
New in 2025, for your convenience, your Road to the Horse 2025 event ticket will now include your Kentucky Horse Park parking fee.
Does a child need a separate ticket?
Children under the age of 2 years old do not need their own ticket, if they will be seated on their guardian’s lap. Children over the age of 2 years old, who will occupy a seat of their own, will need a separate ticket for entry
Are tickets refundable?
No, tickets can not be exchanged, and are nonrefundable.
Are tickets refundable if the competitor lineup changes?
Tickets are non-refundable due to a competitor substitution. Similar to the player lineup changing on a football team, tickets are purchased to the event in its entirety, rather than a dedicated appearance of a specific competitor. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
Are tickets good for the entire event?
Yes, a single ticket admits one person for all 4 days of the main event, Thursday through Sunday.
Are single day tickets available?
Yes. Single day event tickets are available at the Alltech Arena ticket office. You may purchase upon arrival for any single day of the event..
What side of the arena will my favorite clinician be?
Over the course of the event, competitors will be working in different round pens, which are set to provide all seats with the best views possible.

How do I apply to compete at Road to the Horse?
Each year, we look for the top horse trainers, who use kind methods to effectively teach both horses and horse owners. Education and integrity are our primary goals. Participating clinicians must also be eloquent and lively speakers and great entertainers. For more information and an application form click here.
How do I sign up to be a Volunteer at the event?
You must be over 21 years of age and available during the entire event and 2 days prior to. Please call the Road to the Horse office for volunteer information.
Do hotels have special Road to the Horse Rates?
Yes, be sure to mention you will be attending Road to the Horse when you book your rooms. For a list of hotels visit the Road to the Horse lodging page.

How do apply for a Media Pass?
Media applications will be available January 15, 2025. Please check back on the website.
Are cameras permitted?
For media permissions, please fill out a Media Application. Cameras with detachable lenses, regardless of size, are not permitted. The camera policy is subject to change dependent upon the event promoters’ requirements for each event. Camera equipment including camera mounts, gimbals, stabilizers, tripods, monopods, microphones, and other external equipment is not permitted, without a Media Application.

What is a Road to the Horse Roadie

What is a Legacy Seat Holder?
A Legacy Seat Holder is an active Roadie member who wishes to purchase the exact same seats they had at a previous year’s event.
I’m a Roadie and I’m having trouble logging into Etix to purchase my tickets.
How to Log Into Your Etix Account to Purchase Your Legacy Seating:
- Click the ticket link located in the email you received from RTTH
- Enter your Etix username and password (In most cases your username is the email address you used to purchase your RTTH seats the previous year).
- If you forgot your password or have never set one up, click “Having trouble logging in?” next to password box. At the top of this page you’ll see the option to enter your username and click “Reset Password” under the “Forgot your password” header. Once you click “Reset Password” you will be sent password reset instructions via email that will include a temporary password. This password will expire in 10 minutes. You’ll now be able to login to your account.

What if my Roadie membership expires after I purchase my tickets but before the event?
Your membership will have to be renewed before the event in order to take advantage of the many benefits.
As a Roadie Member how many guests can I bring with me during the ‘early entry’ period during the event?
Roadies can bring one (1) guest with them, during the early entry period, during the event.
How do I download my Digital Western Horseman Issue?
As a valid Roadie, you’ll have access to the digital issues of the Western Horseman magazine. Be sure to check back and view your Western Horseman monthly digital issue. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to download the Western Horseman mobile app from the app store. Once you have downloaded the app, please register or sign in using your Roadie email address as BOTH the username and password. Each new issue will appear in your app once it is published.
